Adisti - history and our mission

Adisti company was started in 1991 and was one of the first Thai tour companies to be licensed under the new system by TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand). We started as inbound agents for the Danish tour operator Larsen Rejser which through direct charters to Utapao and Bangkok significantly contributed to the boom in inbound Scandinavian tourism to Thailand. We developed their Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Yunnan programs with a special Danish touch.
Larsen Rejser was later merged with a number of other Danish tour operators into 'Alletiders Rejser" which again later was merged with Swedish Apollo under the Swiss travel group Kuoni. Our company also handled a number of other tour operators such as Mols Rejser, Senior rejser, green2 green and others. In 2006 we started up new operation with Bravo Tours (Denmark) and Sol Resor (Sweden) especially in the round trip market with new and tailor made packages to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Starting in a very competitive market we now operate several weekly departure with full groups from both Sweden and Denmark. This year operating brand new tailor made Scania busses with increased comfort for the clients.
With year 2009 we will be able to offer our many years of experience to individual travelers and smaller groups through our direct sales from this website. Our products are based on a module system which give you the freedom to make your own combinations of well designed and tested products. These modules includes our special "off the track" experiences and guarantees you the best value for money in the market. We strive to give you the feeling our being our personal guests rather than one of many and we only sell what we have tested and liked ourselves. We will thus reserve the right to decline quoting tours based on our agents programs - not being said that these program can not be excellent but we want to specialize and ensure consistency in our products.
We have joined up with excellent partners in Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar who on our directions will operate our programs in those countries. All our operation is coordinated from Thailand and during your holiday our operational staff will follow your program and ensure it operates as planned. We are blessed with a very low turn over of staff and you will therefore find very experienced and competent staff from adisti handling your holiday. All key staff goes regularity to inspect our programs and hotel partners and key staff has likewise been to Scandinavia and seen how we live and work so they have an understanding of our clients background.
Throughout our design of programs we do our utmost to develop a meaningful cooperation with the local villagers and other people we meet on our programs. It is our objective that tourism should be a positive and gainful experience for all participants and this can be achieved with good planning and understanding of local customs and ethics.
Lastly but not least we have taken the utmost care to ensure the safety of our clients during their holiday with us. We are fully aware that general safety standards in the mekong region are far from same level as required in Scandinavia but we seek to compensate for this in the best possible way.
We look forward to welcome you on one of our programs and we will welcome your comments and ideas.
The adisti team.
